This is one of our longest standing locations, the OS Team (Greg and Eddie) spend so much time here, they can be considered Texas residents. Our wild hog from field to table events are so popular we hold several per year to accommodate the demand. You will be spoiled by the lodge staff and the comfortable amenities, especially the new processing center, where we spend a good amount of our time with the Chef team. 

Guests come to premium accommodations where they meet expert shooting instructors who safely teach a fun, exciting and challenging course with rifles that are provided. It’s friendly and inclusive. The groups at each event are small. They enjoy the ambiance of beautiful outdoor settings and do so in luxury.

 

Next, experienced hunting guides bring guests into the field where they’ll find a deep and honest connection to the natural world in the ancient ritual of the hunt. This hunt for wild game will take people who prefer grass-fed beef and free-range poultry to another level. This is an ethical and honest experience as nature intended.

Then, after the hunt, guests are cleanly shown how to butcher game to respectfully preserve the meat for the table. They are taught where the tenderloins are, the best meat for steaks and more.

Finally, an award-winning chef meets guests in the kitchen. After expert instruction, guests break into teams to cook meat taken from the ranch. They then gather for a meal, a feast in which they’ll feel and know the deep connection we have to our sustenance. Guest can expect each dish to be paired with wines from local vineyards to further enhance the experience.

In the end guests go home with succulent wild game meat they harvested, the knowledge of how to expertly prepare the meat for the table and an experience that has changed them. They’ve been deeply and elegantly introduced to the natural cycle of life and will be forever be touched by this profound experience.

Accommodations: Very nice lodge with 8 large bedrooms with 2 queen beds and private bathroom in each. Large social area and dining room and large deck on the West side of the lodge to watch the sunset.
